About Us

Halalco is a halal certification body with over 20 years of experience in the halal food industry. With over 100 employees, Halalco oversees the entire halal process from the point of slaughter to further processing, labeling, and issuing the proper certificates in order to authenticate the integrity of the products that it certifies as halal. We are a conduit of information for both the supply side and the consumers so that both parties can be as transparent and understanding as to the needs and the challenges of their counterpart. With a full time staff of on site Halal Inspectors, and Regional Managers that have decades of experience and knowledge in the halal food industry, Halalco has a constant presence, and is in communication with the producers at all times. Our company's mantra and goal is first and foremost to ensure the integrity of the halal process, and to authenticate the validity of the product for both domestic and international consumers. 

Mission Statement

Halalco is a Halal certification organization, whose purpose is to perform, verify, and promote Islamic dietary and nutritional laws. In doing so, it also aims to help the greater Muslim community through employment of Muslims, and therefore generating economic and social independence for more and more Muslim families. Halalco also acts as a third party Halal certifier to ensure that products labeled Halal for both export and domestic consumption are fully compliant with all Halal dietary guidelines. 

 
 

Services

Halalco offers a wide range of services for producers and manufacturers that want to enter the halal markets. Services include market information that comprises of halal product trends, documentation and certification requirements, as well as information regarding foreign governmental rules and regulations for producers wanting to export product into those markets. We perform plant and facility visits and audits to deem it fit for producing halal products, and followed with staffing of plants with onsite trained halal inspectors who oversee the entire process daily. Our certification department assists producers and exporters with all the necessary documentations needed for them to export their products to various countries, as well as selling it into the domestic outlets. Upon request we assist packers with design and translation of labels into the local language of the country to which they are exporting. Halalco is truly a third party conduit that tries to bridge the needs and concerns of both supply side, and the consumers of halal products in order to promote the wholesomeness and purity of halal products throughout the world.

FEE STRUCTURE

Pricing depends on various factors, and it is tailored per the clients' needs, requirements, markets, frequency, etc., Once the client is visited and consulted, then a specific fee structure is devised for the client with the primary goal in mind to observe and keep the integrity of the halal process while always making sure that the costs to do so will not become a price barrier to the markets for the producers.
